Can't add contacts to my new iPad

just got my first iPad on the weekend.

After I type in all the information for a contact and then press "Done" ... nothing happens.

The screen stays static and doesn't save.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Did you sync your contacts using iTunes ? I had a lot of problems until I found out that you need to sync using iTunes.

Not sure why that happens but some new iPads have had that problem. Just do a reboot by holding the home and start button simultaneously until the screen

Reboot it by holding home and start buttons together until the screen goes dark, and then restart it by holding the start button until the Apple icon appears. That usually fixes the problem.

Like the above said - I use iTunes and sync to my Gmail - love it.

It happens to me often. You have to close down the app and restart it.
Double click the home button you will see all the apps that are opened and running at the bottom of the screen. Select any of the ones you want closed by holding one until they start to wiggle then tap the X to shut them down one at a time. It is good to do this regularly and don't worry it doesn't erase the apps.

When you restart the Contacts app it should run okay.
