Can't Get iTunes "My Music" onto Ipad

Hi: Very weird problem...For some reason, since I have performed the 9.2 upgrade, all of my music disappeared from my iPad Air 2...OK, so I am trying to get it back from iTunes...It appears that all of my songs are still in the iTunes library, but I cannot get them to copy onto the iPad again...The only songs that will copy onto the iPad are my purchases...Can anyone advise me how to get my hundreds of tunes back into the iPad? Thanks a lot...

Hi Steve - please provide some more information: 1) Are you using a PC or a Mac computer; 2) Is iTunes updated to the latest version for the platform used; 3) Do you have your music organized by 'Playlists' (this is how I get music from iTunes on a Mac to my iDevices); and 4) What kinds of music do you have in the iTunes library (I have little purchased from iTunes, some from other online providers, and most from ripped CDs - all in MP3 format) - answers to these questions may help?
