CBR files om THE Ipad2

i can not upload CBR file to my iPad. i tried several programs and all of them report that THE files are invalid, whereas THE files om my computer are ok. Is it possible that THE iPad can recognise jpg files? CBR files contain fpg files.
i hope someone has some tips.
