If we go away for a few days is it necessary to take both an iPad charger and an iPhone charger?

I read somewhere on these forums that an iPhone charger hold not be used for charging an iPad because it doesn't have the oomph.

Conversely does n iPad charger have too much oomph for an iPhone and is likely o damage it?

I've never timed them. It certainly won't do it any slower. I doubt it's faster because the phone will only draw the power it needs.

I know that a second gen iPod touch charges in around 2 hours (15%-100%) with an iPad charger.
