Choosing the 16GB or 32GB

The 64Gb price is a little to steep for me so I'll probably get the 32. I already have an external hard drive so could I put stuff that I don't necessarily need all the time on that? Thanks for all the good input!

Unless you are planning to jailbreak the device you will onlly be able to access pictures and video files (native formats: mp4, mov... no avi, mkv...) through the camera connection kit. On a non-jb iPad you'll need to attach your external HDD to a device with sharing capabilities: computer, router, phone with USB host/OTG support...

Not to hijack the thread (I think the OP got his answer anyways) but reading these replies I have to ask.. do you guys really find yourself listening to a lot of music stored on your iPads? I'm looking to buy one but that particular reason for more storage didn't really cross my mind. Seeing that the amazing screen is really the draw of the ipad, it seems a lot more practical to use a phone or ipod for stored music and the iPad for other things that are a pain on a cramped screen. Not to belittle anyone's usage, I'm just curious.

My 16Gb iPhone has all the music I listen to in my car and no videos whereas my 32Gb iPad has all the videos I watch and no music. It's the perfect balance for me too.

I have about 6G of music on mine. Mainly chill/drone/wordless music for listening to when I am working on my iPad.

I bought the 32gb one and have 26gb free lol! I dont use my ipad for music or videos so thats why 32gb was more than enough for me :)

I agree, using AirStash+, you can have literally unlimited storage and 32 GB & 64 GB SD cards are getting cheaper every day!
