Clipboard?

It's usually in the somewhere in the kitchen. ;) Just kidding of course... the clipboard is a place in memory designed to temporarily store data. For example when you cut and paste, the data is placed in your "clipboard." If you repeat that, the data that was originally there is overwritten with the next piece of data. Hope that helps.

Welcome Scarlet! :)

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

How funny. I asked this very same question when I got my ipad! I looked everywhere for that puppy.:o:o

I just couldn't figure out where it was! Then I found IPF and well, the rest is history.:D

Thank you for your response. I understand now. lol I hate to admit this but this is my 2nd IPAD and i never knew that. Thanks!

No worries, Scarlet! I have had this iPad, the first one, over a year now, and I can't tell you the things I have just discovered, too.;)

I must be an idiot. I still dont know how to access the clipboard.

You don't access the clipboard. At least not on the iPad. It's just a temporary space where stuff you copy stays until you get around to pasting it.

There are clipboard enhancing programs for computers. They are more sophisticated: can be opened, tweaked, and otherwise fiddled with. This is where the confusion often arrises when discussing clipboards.
