connect itunes to PC ..no info button

Ok that's the ? I guess I have loaded iTunes some times I can open devises but I can not find Info all I want to do is copy my contacts from my PC to the ipad, I wonder if iTunes is loaded properly.
I am new to all this rather elderly and not to bright.
any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have the iPad connected to the PC, and selected in iTunes. The syncing options won't show up unless the iPad is connected and selected. Here is what it looks like (more or less) in the newest version of iTunes (on a Mac).

As you can see, I prefer to sync my contacts and calendars through iCloud. It's easier and more reliable than syncing directly from the computer. If iCloud is not an option then Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail can all be used to sync contacts and calendars.

iCloud, however, has a few more features, not to mention I trust Apple's privacy policies more than the others. They have less to gain and more to lose over abusing privacy.
