Connection problem.

Hello, my dad just picked up a "2" and uses a AT&T "hot spot" router and just bought a HP air print capable printer. He has not been able to print from it. In the iPads settings under wifi, it lists both his router and his printer. He can access the Internet but his iPad doesn't find, or recognize the printer. Anything I can suggest to him? I'm hoping to get it taken care of before he gets to frustrated since its his first device.

The printer is hp deskjet3050a j611series. The wifi is AT&T hotspot elevate4g by sierra wireless.

Rebooting the router and the printer did it for me.

Make also sure that your Printer has the latest firmware installed. Some printers are marked as airprint ready but need to update the firmware todo so.
