I need to do 21 things (taps, button press, mouse clicks) to
continue browsing from my iPad to my desktop PC in my office.
Can anybody tell me how to do it quicker ?

iPad to PC:

ipad:
1. tap the address bar
2. select all
3. copy
4. close the safari browser
5. open notes
6. tap it
7. paste
8. get the keyboard out of the way
9. tap mail icon
10. tap the + sign
11. select the contact (my mailadress on my PC)
12. tap send (and wait for "sent" sound)
13. tap delete
14. tap "are you sure"
15. close notes
16. powerdown iPad

goto PC

1. doubleclick outlook
2. press "send/receive all" icon
3. goto inbox
4. open that mail from the iPad
5. click on the link in the mail

And what is the number of things todo for going from PC to iPad ?

VNC with LogMeIn or TeamViewer.

In Safari (and in iCabMobile and Atomic web browser), there is an option to e-mail the URL directly from within the web browser. In Safari, you touch the arrow button in the top LH corner and select "Mail link to this page." The default mail client will open. Enter the address you wish (if the person is already in your contacts, you'll just have to enter a letter or two). Hit send and it's gone. The mail client disappears and you are back to browsing.

That should take care of most of the steps you've listed above (although, you didn't have to paste the URL to notes in your steps ... you could have pasted it directly into the mail app).

Can't help you with opening your e-mail steps (I use gmail, which is easily accessible online...).

To send to the iPad, you could e-mail the link, use various cloud services, other apps mentioned before or whatever to get that link to your iPad...

Good luck.
