Convert videos to ipad?

thats either because either the film wasn't in 16.9 or they've double tapped and zoomed in full.

Ya I know but I am thinking if there is any way to cut off the black part without always maximizing the videos.

Tbh, jail breaking is a lot easier than converting your videos. Jailbreak and install VLC and ifile, and openssh, and just wirelessly transfer videos of any type right onto your iPad

yes you can, but it'll mean a bit of work. i usually mask and re-crop in QuickTimePro. but, if you do that you'll also be cropping out the sides; you'll be trying to convert a 16:9 into 4:3, and the only way to do that whilst maintaining picture ratio will be to inevitably crop off the sides.

Just have them reshoot the footage and you should be fine
