Copying apps from iPhone to iPad

I have had an iPhone4 for about two years. It is jailbroken. I have about 150 apps on it. I bought a new refurbished iPad3 from the Apple Store and am supposed to get it on the tenth.

Is it possible to copy my apps that I use on my iPhone to my iPad or will I need to purchase them all over again?

Is there a way to copy some of my jailbreak apps over to my IiPad?

I am hoping my iPad 3 comes with ios5 so that I can have my ipad jail broken as well. Thanks for any help

The easiest way of copying your apps to the new iPad is to make a backup of your iPhone in iTunes on your computer. When you set up your iPad you can choose to set it up from the backup of your iPhone. When set up is complete, everything on the iPhone will be copied onto the iPad. You only pay once for an app. You can download it to other devices at no additional cost.

When you connect your new iPad to iTunes on your computer and follow the onscreen instructions for setting it up, you'll see a prompt to choose between setting it up as a new iPad or from the backup of your iPhone. Chose the backup and your iPad will have the entire contents of your phone downloaded to it.

You won't get iOS 5 if your iPad is coming from Apple and your JB apps will be an issue.

I received my Refurbished 32gb Ipad 3 today at lunch. I bought the Verizon Carrier version with wifi direct from Apple for 599. It has the 5.1.1 OS in it! So I will be able to have it jail breaked! I backed up a copy of my iphone on my computer. I then chose to restore from my iphone during the setup. It told me it would take about 4 minutes and it appeared as though it was transferring files. Then at the end it reset it and there was nothing there. My mp3 files werent there and none of my apps. I opened Itunes again and again tried to restore the device from my iphone. It went through the same process with the same results. What am I missing? I can understand the jail break apps not comming accross, but I would have expected all my Apple Store Apps to transfer.

Any help would be appreciated
