twerppoet iPad Fan Oct 1, 2011 #2 Safari and most of the browsers on the iPad will not work with Java. It is not supported on the iPad. You could try some of the Flash browsers (Puffin, Skyfire, iSwifter). They work through a server that does support java. Opera Mini may work as well.
