Data File in Ipad Custom Application

Where will be the data saved on the iPad application.

We have to develop application on iPad which will take some input data, Once I plugin my ipad to Windows I want this saved data on the windows machine. So first I want to know where I have to save data on to Ipad there will not be any data bases so It should save on a file what is the file and how should I get that file on to windows.
