It's nonsense.

Simply rebooting at random would have the same impact - and that comes mostly from cleaning up memory usage by currently or recently run apps.

Ideal is to reboot after installing an app but that gets annoying.

I turn my off every night.

I plug in to the charger, and turn it off. Most of the time it will stay off but lately it will just turn itself back on.

Nobody had seemed to figure that out yet.

Oh wow, it turns itself back on? Wow, its so intelligent! I wish mine did that, then I wouldn't have manually power on again after a reboot at night.

Pretty much. Just lets the iPad "clear it's mind".

I don't reboot after every app, but have found that SOMETIMES the iPad may act "screwy" after a download. Rather than "trip out" about a bad app, I reboot, and things work as they should.
