Delete Apps

Can I delete the Blog app, that came loaded on my I Pad air. It takes up storage space and I don't use it or want it ?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot delete the stock apps that Apple puts on their iDevices. If the app doesn't have an "x" on it when the icons are in wiggle-mode, it cannot be deleted.

Most people just stick the stock apps they don't want/use into a folder and ignore them. It's the best you can do.

Thanks I thought thats what you would say. If I put the Apps in a folder or hide them it still takes up storage space I guess ?
Any other ideas for freeing up storage space ?

In general?

Remove photos that you don't need any more from your iPad. Store them somewhere else.

Delete apps you don't need.

Delete your email account(s) and set them up again. This can also set free some storage space.

If you use online storage (Box, Dropbox, OneDrive,...) don't load some of the files to your device. As an example: if you favorite a file in Dropbox, it's also available offline, which means that it takes space on your iPad.

Not to be helpful, but purely to satisfy my curiosity, what app are you referring to as a Blog app? There is no Apple app named Blog, nor one that does blogs. Newsstand and Podcast are the only two I can thing of that might be what you are talking about, but I'd really like to know which app you meant; just so I can scratch that itch. :)
