Download apps and storage issues

I am trying to download an app and i get an error message that says "cannot download. There is not enouge local storage to download. You can manage your local device storage usage in settings." Not sure what changes i need to make. I even tried deleting some apps and still not enough room..

If you want to download that app, you'll have to delete enough content on your iPad so that you don't get the error message.

Yes you'll often have to remove much more than the new app needs to get enough space for "the download". When its finished youll have space left to redownload the smaller media or apps you removed to gain the space in the first place.
