Downloading apps from the app store now taking hours Any suggestions? Ipad version 1

First are you updating thru iTunes or iPad 3G if thru 3G try resetting network settings and retry

Thru iTunes on wifi. Tried resetting. iBooks v slow too

I had to restore my iPad on advice from the support line. I made the mistake of doing the update over wifi and it did not load correctly. Since I did this it is working great.
