Thanks end of the week they say so will just have to wait it out I'm afraid. I really take my hat of to every one playing dv on their iPhone and even being active on this thread, I'm finding it very awkward being spoilt and used to doing it all from my pad.

Yes! You should all appreciate us lowly iPhone users!! An iPad will have to wait for me - too many other priorities! 

Hello Everyone, I'm fairly new to the forum, though I've been reading here since the LeapYear dragons came out. I've been super lucky and have been able to get every dragon with the exception of the Sandstorm dragon which has alluded me thus far. It also took me forever to get the Blue Fire, longer than any of the 48 hr breeds!

Any way, the reason I'm finally posting now is that both my kidlets just got 48 hour breeds with Sonic and Reindeer. Anyone know what it might be? My daughter is hoping for a moon and my son is hoping for a sun. They excited for whatever they get, but we are so curious since I couldn't find that combination listed in the Rare Breeding Guide.

That silly Clover is alluding us in general too. (Our whole family is playing, though our kids are the ones who got us started.) I have one Clover but have been unsuccessful in breeding a second.

Any way, if anyone knows what the Sonic and Reindeer combo might be, we'd love the input.

Never had iPad. I can wish....... Finances not allowing just now so not missing what I haven't tried, too badly. Just making best of iPhone.

Yeah, even speeding things up it takes about 15 minutes to breed and hatch 50 Dragons. I bred 1000 combinations of Air + Mud in NBC and EBI to see if different levels or parent order affect success rate of Sandstorms (they didn't). That's a few hours before breakfast, after dinner and during lunch time.

I've also burned through about 18 000 gems in the last week.

This will sound funny coming from me, but if you do this same exercise for the new dragons that are coming, it will drain all of the mystery - and all of the fun - out of the game. When things are reduced to formulas it just becomes a rote exercise. No speculation, no cheering one another on, no excitement or disappointment, no experimentation except yours that takes 20 minutes and incurs no risk.

I can fully appreciate your desire to dig down to the essential facts as I'm a die-hard empiricist, but without those ingredients the game would be dead for me.

I mean this not as a negative criticism, but in the kindest possible way.

Rainbow is possible, but so is Sun or Moon. If they were bred between 7am and 7pm they should be a Sun. After 7pm or before 7am expect a Moon.

Well yes and no. Knowing you have a 7% chance of getting the Clover Dragon doesn't take away the thrill of the chase and the elation of success. With a new class of Dragon and all the normal combinations that will exist most of them will be run of the mill that we won't need to worry about. But there are bound to be some that are hard. It's bound to have an opposite and breeding those are always tricky. Knowing the combinations that will help the other players will be a useful thing.

I do like that they help exists in 250's thread ... is it too in your face by having some info in my signature? Think I should remove that for the people that don't want to know?

I just made a crystal dragon but don't remember how. I think I need to start taking notes on combinations. I'm getting too many of some by mistakingly repeating a breeding.

Yeah, note taking is quite important. A simple spreadsheet can do the job.

Well of course I can only speak for myself, but I would prefer the information to not be included in your signature. It would work best for me to have it located so that I have to fetch <g> it.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about it tell you bought it up. I think I will remove it.

My son just reached Level 20 and has summoned his 4th Island. I'm just short of Level 28 ... but I have reached 300 gems. My wife's 5th Island is still sitting there untouched. I do believe it will be used for the new dragon species. I'm betting we don't get any new habitats (well till after level 30) so some sacrifices are going to have to be made.

But I'm glad you didn't jump, sir. Money collecting seems to be the order of the day right now. Woo Hoo!!

I'm so glad that I have been saving (!!! am I changing in my old age?) my gold coins. But I suspect it will be best not to rush in with a shrine grind but to wait for a multiple element dragon, which is inevitable.

I hope it's a left facing shrine to help balance things. And I want left facing design pieces, hedges, benches, boulders, a cheeseburger, no, two cheeseburgers, fries....

Wonder if we are getting more habitats as well? Might have to get rid of the Gold Factory if the rumors are true.
