Keep tryin, I tried everything and holy freaking finally I got it with Fire {L} and Snow {R}.
My girlfriend also did this and got a blue fire. Even though she was the first to get it >.> so infuriating xD I'd been trying for so long but it's ok! It is not impossible just very damned infuriating.

I play the game several times a day, but I seem to be able to give gems only every couple of days. Why don't I get new gems every day? Is it only at certain times...and I'm missing those times? Is there a set number of hours between each gifting...and if you miss that time, you have to wait? I feel stupid when my buddies give me gifts a couple of times a day, but I can't return the favor!

I experienced tat too. Try shut down ur IPad and restart again. It works for me

Now i have all the dragons but rainbow.. Go for rainbow!
For blue fire, try ice on the left and fire on the right.. Keep on trying, hopefully you will get blue fire..

Ok every dragon has been hatched minus rainbow. I've been level 20 for a while now and I hope with the next update that they will raise the level cap so I have something to work at other than that evil rainbow...oh and any word on this "ghost" dragon?

I tried fire on left ice on right. Both level 10. Egg is red with white snowflakes. It took me 7-8 tries of this combination to get blue fire. Good luck

Don't know if anybody has posted this yet, but there seems to be a glitch about only being able to give 3 gifts per day. This doesn't happen every time, but if, while visiting a friend's island, you click on "friends" rather than "go home" you can give more gifts. Sometimes it's 3, sometimes 2, and occassionally only 1. When I do this, I can end up giving all my friends gems in one day before I've visited all my friend's islands.

Thoughts on rainbow breeding. I've read and read on different forums for ideas and believe that it's utterly random but percentage-wise the odds likely rise when using hybrids hatched from hybrids. I unfortunately can't remember what was hatched from what any more on my islands. My point being that maybe if you choose two hybrids like firefly and seaweed and purposely breed them from two hybrid parents the percentage will rise just a bit. Also firefly only takes 3 hrs and seaweed 6 if I remember right. So failures won't take so long. It sucks to have to wait 24 hrs for yet another crystal. Oo I wish there was a 'toss this egg' feature.
