Driving me crazy! Ipad iPhone calendar sync

When I add a calendar item on my ipad calendar app it shows up at the correct time on my iPhone. But if I have to edit that item, it all of a sudden converts to GMT time. Yes I can live with it but its such an annoyance. Hoping there's a simple fix.

Just a guess;

Check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > under Time Zone Support in the Calendar section make sure both devices have it turned off, or both have it turned on and are set to the same Time Zone.
