DRM ePub Books

I have an iPad 1 and would like to know how to read DRM ePub books on it.
I have downloaded Overdrive & Bluefire reader, logged into adobe but they will not "find" the books.
I am desperate to know how i can overcome this problem.
I am currently running my iPad on IOS 5.1.1.
Any assistance would be most welcome.

All I can think of is using iBooks or the software that was originally intended to read the books. As I understand it, DRM makes cross platform reading impossible.

Could you let us know the source of the books? Might help with supplying answers.

Hey there.... I purchased the DRM ePub book through Exclusives Books - South Africa.
They said i then needed to register on adobe reader, which i have done, and then linked my adobe username and password to the Overdrive reader, but it will not download it, like it says it will do.

Man! The reason why i still have the iPad 1 is because i am waiting for it to break...... Because unfortunately i will not replace it with an Apple product again.
I will be going Samsung Android next. My wife has been using the Samsung Galaxy S2 for nearly 18mths now, and has not had problems like i have expeiprienced with Apple..... Very disappointing...... But i feel that Apple have lost the plot.....

Another issue i have with apple is that the itunes store in South Africa does not come close to even a Country like Kenya, with regards to availability of apps. A tupical example is Need For Speed...... Come on! Surely where ever you are in the world, u should be able to have access to the same stuff globally???? The only way to get the real cool latest stuff is if u jail break ur device..... Apple must surely understand that they themselves are the reason for having to jailbreak???? Its like buying a Merc in America that comes with 4 wheels plus a spare, but in South Africa the same car inly comes with 3 wheels and no spare....

Gary--Apple has no control to what each region mandates. Each country has their own AppStore due to the difference of rules and regulations for that region. This may be the reason why there is a limitation to available apps in your country.

Hi Skimonkey, thanks for the information you provided.
I guess i will need to have a chat to the "Core" group then, as i understand that they have the mandate for apple products and software in South Africa.

No problem and good luck. You may also want to look at creating an iTunes account in another location. That might help open your options for you.
