Eail issues

My Ipad 2 will not download my emails. I have both yahoo and gmail but neither will download to the Ipad 2. This is the first time it has happened. It just spins when trying to download saying "checking for mail"

I read this possible solution on a previous post...

Try deleting the email accounts from the iPad, re-boot, and re-add the email accounts.
