Editing Hotlinks?

Sometimes I want to edit hotlinks on my iPad in the notes app. This can be really difficult at times though as, as soon as you touch it you get linked to the file in a browser. Is there any way you can remove the hotlink status on text for editing?

If the link is showing as underlined text, you can tap and hold. The pop-up menu will have an Edit Link options.

If the link is the fancy thumbnail version, you can tap and hold. In the pop-up menu choose View As, then Plain Link. From there you can use the previous method to edit the link.

Once done editing, you can once again tap and hold, then choose Show Link Preview.

Rather involved for the preview version of a link, but doable.

I’ll give that a try. It’s so much easier on a Mac. I think I right clicked and got a “remove link” option.

Remove Link is also an option in the pop-up menu. Though, if you chose Edit Link you can change the displayed text of the link and still keep the link active, if that is more desirable.
