Hello,

I just bought an iPad 2 and wish to know if it is possible to attach documents, photos etc to emails. I don't mean clicking on the curved arrow then selecting the attachment. I mean writing the email first then attaching the attachment.
Thanks

No. The iPad is app-centric, in that you have to be in the app that contains the data to send anything out of it. So, you have to be in the Photos app (or any other app that contains your photos) in order to e-mail photos from the iPad. The same with document and the like.

It's the way the iPad was designed - a "sandbox" as others have described it. Takes getting used to, but IMHO, once you get used to it, it works well.

To answer your question in the most simplest way NO. You have to go to photos then email it from there. Maybe in cydia there could be a mod but as for apple original iOS you can't.

That's one (and a very easy) way to email a reduced resolution photo. However you can in fact attach a full-resoltuion photo to an email by opening it in the iPad's Photo App, copying it and and pasting it directly into the email itself. More details can be found in the post I linked above.
