If you’re looking for good sounding instruments to plug into your midi tracks then Sample Tank is the way to go. Kind of pricey, but very good sounds. I’m using Cubasis for making the midi tracks. Not a good as Roland’s Sonar X2 on a PC, but the best I could find so far for my Ipad. You will also need Audiobus to link them together.

I do a combination of live performance and studio stuff. Here's a list of my audio apps....

- Audiobus (Essential for interconnecting audio apps)
- JamUp Pro XT (THE guitar effects app)
- Bias (Works with JamUp to create a custom-designed tube amp....very cool)
- BlueBoard app (works with the BlueBoard footswitch to control effects in JamUp)
- Galileo (Outstanding B3 app)
- iGrand (Acoustic pianos)
- iLectric (Electric pianos)
- Sampletank (All sorts of sampled instruments)
- OnSong (Sheet music display app)
- GuitarToolkit (Lots of goodies for guitar players)
- Drum Loops HD (Great sampled drum loops and fills to use in Auria)
- Amplitube (Quit using this app when I got JamUp)
- GarageBand (Quit using this app when I got Auria)

For an interface, I use iRig Pro. This provides one interface for both audio and Midi. On-stage and in the studio, I use iKlip and Ultimate Support Hyperpad's to hold the iPads.
