Exchange Push mail not working Ios5

Did a full restore yesterday to Ios5 and everything's fine, except Exchange push email. Email doesn't get updated automatically, only when I open the Email app will it update. Strange, as all settings are correct. Exchange worked fine on 4.3.5. Anyone encountering this issue or maybe have a possible solution? Thanks.

Hi. A had the same problem 10 minutes ago. this was my first post here but i want to help you.
Go to Settings -> iCloud -> delete your icloud account. Now go to mail, contracts and calendars and delete your mail account too. Restart the ipad and go to MAIL (not in settings->mail, bla bla) and set your mail account.
And it will work now. :)

Will try this right away...thanks!

Edit : after removing the iCloud account, immediately notifications appeared about new emails (exchange)! Seems indeed like iCloud was in the way. Will now follow-up your further instructions.

Edit2 : restarted ipad, added Exchange mail account via Mail app. Still no push sync possible :( Btw I haven't set up the iCloud account yet...not sure if I should or not (for Test purposes).

Any additional idea's / tips ? I appreciate the help.

Or.. you can set up icloud account, but do not let the icloud to store mails. Anyway.. icloud it is not a vital app (4me) and i just delete it. Like the newsstand app.. it can't be removed from the screen (i want to put the app in a folder and i can't do that). :)
Another thing it's frustating, ipads do not have weather in notification center like iphones. That.. just suck..

We have push exchange at work and I have iCloud storing mail and it works fine for me. I just sent an email to my work account from Hotmail on my PC at home and it arrived instantly on the iPad.

Same thing happend to me too. If i send mails from "me to me", i receive them. From other people,etc.. i do not receive them. :)
Anyway.. delete icloud account for me.

@Revox :

Thanks for the tip. It seems to work, however sometimes it doesn't, so can't rely on it 100%. Weird! Will keep an eye on it for now and see what happens.

Edit : Up untill now all seems to work fine with push mail and Exchange.

I am facing issues with my Exchange emails. It all worked well IOS 4.3.5 on both, my iPad and iPhone but after I updated my devices to the new iOS5, I don't see anything on my mail list and it throws up an error saying that server was not found.

I will try the steps suggested above and hope it works...

Deleting Cloud account fixed Exchange Push mail not working iOS 5

I'd tried everything else and this is what worked: deleting my iCloud account. Thanks for the assist.

iCloud has a problem with IOS5 on both ipad and iphone sync with exchange servers. You can have an icloud account but turn off mail, calendar, contacts and notes syncing and it will work fine. I have tested this across both platforms and got it work on both and tried each element individually to see what crashed exchange syncing.

Hope it helps>>>

I've followed all the tips outlined in the forum and still can't get email to work properly on my iphone since the upgrade.
i can't send email from the phone and messages that do come in don't synch with my computer when i delete from either place.

when I deleted iCloud, as someone suggested, I lost everything. Contacts, etc. Fortunately, restoring it brought them back. I've deleted and resotred my email account on the the iphone, too and still nothing.

Thoughts on what to do now?
Thank you!!

I have iCloud set up on my iPad2 (with OS5) and iPhone 4s (with OS5) and "push" mail works 100% everytime on my iPhone but works only intermittently on my iPad.

I have removed my iCloud account, re-added it, tried it with Mail On and Off but it makes no difference. I have deleted my Gmail account from my iPad and reset the device several times then reloaded Gmail (as Exchange mail using m.google.com as the server) but it makes not a jot of difference.

I can no longer rely on notice from my iPad of incoming mail but only on my iPhone.

My iPad and iPhone sync up to my Google Account, I only use iCloud as a backup medium (I think... but I get easily confused...) and on the face of it both devices are setup identically but only one works! This morning my iPad started to resond to "pushed" email but later on decided it didn't like doing that and now only "finds" mail when I open the app.

Irritating is too small a word for it!

Connecting your iOS5 device to Exchange Server

I've found a fairly straight forward fix if you're having this problem, I'm sure it won't work for all but it will work for some. This is easier to try than restting your network settings and deleting your iCloud account, so try it first.

If you've already got an Exchange account set up but not working - you get the "Password Incorrect" message then; 1) delete the Exchange account. 2) set up a new Exchange account. 3) enter your Domain name. 4) continue set up as usual. My iPad 2 wifi/3G is connected to iCloud and my company Exchange server, I get the full Outlook suite email/contacts/calendar/etc.

I found that for some reason omitting the domain name during set up, even though Apple says it's optional, it isn't. If this doesn't work then try the other methods.

Good luck.

Delete the Exchange account, then create a new one. Enter the Domain name (its not optional like set up indicates) and everything else. Do NOT just enter the Domain name to an existing Exchange account, that won't work. You must delete your exchange account off your iPad and iPhone, and set up a new one and enter everything. Both iCloud and Exchange should play nice.
