Exporting from iMovie to camera roll

Seriously? Has anyone -- I mean anyone -- successfully exported their video from imovie to the camera roll? Your solution would be great...except for the fact that the app hangs on any export except the totally useless project file with the "iMovieMobile" extension.
Wasting too much time on what I thought would be a monster app.
There are forum entries about this "hang"/"freeze" problem going back years!!

Yes, I've doen this. In my experience it is the easiest, most reliable export (vs trying to export directly to YouTube). But I don't think I've ever exported a movie over 5 minutes long on the iPad, and not recently, meaning not since the last couple of updates.

I'm with TP, I didn't have any problems either. Though I've only done it once, and the video was under 3 minutes in length...
