Facebook connection problem

It was my understanding that Facebook would work with Verizon 4G on the new iPad but when a friend tries calling me with her new iPad the call fails. When I try to call her, it shows that it is trying to make connection and indicates ringing but never answers. She has put me in her Facebook favorites, and is trying to make the connection from there selecting my email.

I could sure use some help.

Facebook or FaceTime? If the latter, it does not yet work on cellular. It will when iOS 6 is released this fall.

I did mean FaceTime and appreciate your response as it clarified it reminded me that iOS 6 was needed to make it work. Thanks much.
