Facetime on 4G

It was my understanding that Facebook would work with Verizon 4G on the new iPad but when a friend tries calling me with her new iPad the call fails. When I try to call her, it shows that it is trying to make connection and indicates ringing but never answers. She has put me in her Facebook favorites, and is trying to make the connection from there selecting my email.

I could sure use some help.

Face Time will work over cellular networks,but not until the release of iOS 6,if you mean FaceTime instead of Facebook.
