FaceTime on my iPad 2 is not connecting after calling.

Hi everyone,
I 'm new here and hope to get better with more use.Please bear with me till then.I have an IPad 2 still running on IOS 6 and I have not upgraded to IOS 7 because I don't like the new interface.My Face Time was working fine till about two weeks ago,but suddenly now it rings but does not connect.Can anyone help me to connect again please, without upgrading to IOS 7?Thanks.

Apple made some changes to the FaceTime and iMessage servers that broke it for iOS 6 and some older versions of Mac OS X. It has not, as far as I know, been fixed for iOS 6 yet.

I suspect they are adding features in preparation for the next round of devices and software, and broke the backwards compatibility by accident.

You can upgrade to iOS 7, or wait for a fix, which they don't seem to be in a hurry to provide.
