Bumpy Road is a totally charming new game from Swedish developer Simogo (Kosmo Spin) that many are saying could well be the next indie App Store hit after Tiny Wings. Billed as “a love story on four wheels,” Bumpy Road has garnered much praise since its release, including being named “Game of the Week” in the App Store. The delightful game features a couple in their autumn years who decide to go for a ride in their car, where you get to help them collect memories from their life together over the years, as well as “bumping” the road with your finger to help them overcome obstacles in their little car. Bumpy Ride has three main modes: “Evergreen Ride,” where you help the couple drive as far as possible along the road, “Sunday Trip,” where you can try to beat your best times, and “Memory Lane,” where you get to sit back and enjoy the story.
The game has all the usual features as well, including Game Center support, Facebook score posting, achievements and leaderboards.
