Is there not a more accurate date for iOS5? ........ Fall goes on for three months!

Probably when the new iPhone 5 ships in September, will be available to download when it goes on sale most likely.

I doubt they know either beyond a secret target date. Fall provides a nice cover.
I'd bet iPhone 5 comes out first with 4.whatever they are on at the time and ios5 not more than 6 weeks after.

More likely they will available at same time. Apple likes to have a new iOS when it launches a new phone. September is Fall [and only a rumored date], they've got plenty of room to maneuver.
