Find my iPad 2

I tried to check my password at MobileMe, since I forgot to write it down, but I no longer am able to access MobileMe . Is it necessary to have IOS5 for this built in app to work. Sorry I believe I posted in this in error originally to the wrong group.

I do still have the feature, but after I go to me.com and log in, it sends me to icloud and says I have to update to IOS5. What am I doing incorrectly?

Is my assumption then correct that I now have to upgrade to IOS5 for this feature to work on my iPad with my PC? Thanks again.
