Flash?

I am very new to using iPad 2 - first Apple product for me - what is the workaround when you want to purchase an item from a website that uses Adobe Flash. I get to that point and can't go any farther- very frustrating.
Can you use puffin instead of safari

There is never going to be a truly satisfactory solution for watching Flash on the iPad; no new browser is ever - repeat ever - going to be able to solve this because the underlying foundations that all browsers have to use just do not support Flash - period. So the only 'solution' is for a developer to host that content on a remote web site.

You can now.....many apps in the app store that offer this....
If you can't find one you like then buy splashtop and have full access to flash sites via pc while viewing on the iPad....

Oh My. But of course! I never thought of that. You are so smart. Now that I have ST working outside my tiny house....

Although ~ in over a year I have only been to one site that said: "please install adobe flash player"

I'm a bit lost with what u say.

For example I wouldlike to be able to vie live streaming football through myp2p.com. What app can you suggest? Also for BBC videos.

I don't understand gow these remote access things work!!!

In fairness I do agree that Splashtop in one of the best option to watch flash but I appreciate that it is not a one fits all solution.

You basically use an ipad client tp connect to your mac or pc. So you will be operating your mac or pc remotely from your ipad and as such will be able to do "on your ipad" everything you can do on you mac or pc.

Skyfire is hit and miss. More miss than hit in my opinion.

My personal ranking would be:

1. Splashtop
2. Iswifter
3. Puffin

But the three of them have limitations and work in different ways so do some research before buying anything.

I bought the three above for my ipad, and I have skyfire in a previous ios device I own but did not bother to get it for my ipad.

Cloud browse has a monthly subscription, so that puts it off automatically for me.

The other link does not work. What's the name of the app?

What limitations are you finding on Splashtop? Maybe someone can help with it.
I tried iswifter, bought Puffin and found neither to be adequate except for static Flash pages like Zagg, Kings Dominion calendar of events, my daughters college website, my bank, etc.
Splashtop was the answer I was looking for for every limitation to my ipad except the frequent crashes. That is another subject, not for this thread.

To use Splashtop you must have you pc on. It is not a limitation of the app itself, but in some cases this may not be an option.

No problems with Splashtop, I find it outstanding.
