Is that what you ordered? I love Milo! It's a chocolate malt drink either hot or cold and an old restaurant in Durban, South Africa made a milkshake with it. Yum scrumdidiliumptious. The restaurant was under the motorway bypass and you could have it attached to your window like they do in America or you could eat outside or in. It was the place to be for young and old. I wonder if it's still there? Can't remember it's name.

No, even my local waitrose only sell maron glace at Christmas, selfridges normally have them all year round though. Milo sounds nice, I like malty drinks!

I like chestnuts but oh, maron glace is just something to behold.......I could live on them alone!

Sorry, I love chestnuts roasted or pickled or boiled with my Brussels sprouts. I love Xmas. 

I love all nuts. Monkey nuts, not so much! I had a kid moment this morning, I had cocopops for brekkie. Hot milk coffee and a bio yoghurt. 

I love them but only at Xmas. I love all dried fruits as well. Monkey nuts are in shells and I'm not describing their shape because it could be embarrassing.

They grow them here on the island.
The locals eat them raw.
Definitely taste better roasted as salted
If you leave the red skin on they call them beer nuts in oz

If you are ever in London, stuff your pockets with monkey nuts and go for a stroll through St James Park (between trafalgar square and Buckingham palace).......the squirrels will come and take them out of your pockets!

You can make a great dip with cashews,Parmesan cheese and cooked Beetroot.
Just whizz them up in the food processor. Not too smooth?
Great before dinner with drinks and toast triangles
