What's new

Food anyone?

Yesterday we bough fresh fruit in the market. We had bananas, mandarins and 4 unripe donut peaches.

We put the peaches in a bowl with the bananas to ripen the peaches - they are delicious ripe. We bought 4 for £1.00 - worth the cost for the taste.
this morning my wife told me that our nephew had eaten 3 of the "green peaches". She hid the surviving peach, wrapped in newspaper, in a cupboard!

Laugh or cry? I had to chuckle.

Today, I got back from the supermarket with a 7 pint container of fresh milk, meat etc. the milk should last for the next 5 days. Out nephew asked whether we could make a fruit shake with the bananas and milk!

Laugh or cry? I had to tut and shake my head. Food costs money! ;)

Well at 19 he is definitely a growing lad. Eat like a horse. My brother used to and never gained any weight. I was always jealous. He played rugby.

Has anyone tried this salad dressing mix? This is my dressing to make with red wine vinegar, olive oil and water. In fact I just had a salad now with it and it is just so good. :)

It has the right amount of garlic zest! I also use it on Cole Slaw rather then the thick dressings and its just so delish with a salmon steak or fish tacos!
