Gardening!

Yes, we are recycle mania. Cloches are old windows, dustbins for potatoes, baths for ponds, basins for planters, pallets for decking etc... You don't have to spend a fortune to get good food and looks!

I rescued the Stig from a recycling bin in a neighbouring street.

Great photo! I don't think your neighbours were too impressed with him! The real one that is! I am eating strawberries, raspberries, lettuce, radishes and a couple of peas pods! I found a pea seed and put it into my herb shelf outside kitchen door and it produced two pea pods! Needless to say, the rest of our crop is still growing! I'm loving all my flowers at the moment! The rain has devastated my roses though! They have all gone soggy! I have up to 50 bushes dotted round garden.

Rain nearly got my patio cushions, luckily hubby got home early and covered them all!

My roses are all looking a bit bedraggled. Blooming rain brought black spot! I hate that! Delphiniums are going over now.

Well! I've watered the garden and neighbours tell me it's raining tonight. Richard, please tell me it's not!

I hope it didn't. It hasn't here for 2 days now, so we are kept busy watering.  and all looks rosy.

I'm getting awfully clumsy. I was taking washing out through backdoor and fell into the privet hedge opposite and then later on slipped on some water in kitchen, full of bruises now. Yesterday, I broke a couple of flower stalks off one of my favourite geraniums (Arthur Hadley). I've put them into water to see if I can get roots to replant them. Everything is looking overgrown again! A bit of rain and sun and the garden wants to look like a jungle. My patio is full of flowers though. It's my little iPad heaven!

I know! I was coming down the kitchen step and I was holding the basket with two hands like you do and I just fell into my poor box hedge. Luckily it's quite sturdy so I managed to rearrange a few branches. I'm getting old Richard!

Out on my run, I enjoyed the conditions. I'd term it a "manicured" day with great weather and well tended gardens.
I had to slow from my jogging pace ad I lost energy. Ive just polished off 2 rounds of toast with strawberry jam, and a cup of coffee. I hope it helps, it was delicious  

Too late! Tucking into sesame seed toast and home made Glen Ample raspberry jam with hot milk coffee as well! Snap!

Well the gardener did!
Our nambunga trees drop leaves all year round.they stand proudly along the sand of our lagoon.
As they are 60 feet high and between 300 and 400 hundred years old
I bow down to their omnipotence.
Beauty comes at a price

Bad luck! Hubby had to hack his way through our plants to get to chickens run but I had to nag to get it done! I hate getting wet walking on our path!
