Getting iPad Service in Mexico?

I am considering getting an iPad, but will be moving to Mexico soon after. Are there any issues to consider when moving an iPad purchased in the US to Mexico? Are there service facilities there, in case I need any warranty work done (we'll be in the Guadalajara area)? Does a US warranty work internationally, or should I consider buying the iPad in Mexico instead?
