Global warranty for ipad 2

i stay in and after 2 months i am going back to india,so last week i brought an ipad 2 from the apple reseller store,its a china version but after i brought it my friends are saying hongkong version have the global warranty except in china and china one it doesn't have global warranty,it have warranty only in china,,,but i am nt sure how far all these information are true....so,i am so confuse weather i should go back and replace with the hongkong one because i am going back to india after 2 months and if i get some problem when i go back to india..where should i go for repairing under warranty..please help me outt..........
