Got iPod on iTunes account but can I add iPad?

My wife has a iPod but she is getting a iPad this week but will she have to set up a new itunes account for the iPad or can she add the iPad as well as having her ipod on her iTunes account?

You can add the iPad to the same iTunes account as the iPad. You can connect it via iTunes or the App Store on the iPad.

Stick with the same iTunes account unless you have specific reasons not to, and unless you prefer to pay for apps and other content twice. If you use the same account, you can share apps and other content, as you decide.

Last I checked, iTunes allows up to 10 iDevices on one account.

FYI: Apple has proven inflexible about letting people merge their separate accounts, so that's incentive to stick with one account unless you have specific reason not to.
