Is it true that the GPS on the iPhone and ipad don't have any voice directions?

The answer is both 'yes' and 'no'!

The built in Maps app of the iPad uses Google maps and doesn't have voice directions. But there are several third-party apps for the iPad and iPhone that do - but, of course, you have to pay for them!

Bear in mind too that only the 3G iPad has true GPS because the functionality is in the same electronics that 3G uses on the iPad.

I use Garmin but it says it is compatible with the iPad which it is but it is an iPhone app. Kinda distorted when you zoom it in.
