Hello from Yorkshire

My wife and I have been using iPad2s (one each) for a year now and it really transforms our leisure time surfing the net, online shopping, etc. Have recently started using iCloud for backup as well as through syncing on the PC. However, if I lose something or delete something accidentally on my iPad, I can't find any way to restore from the iCloud backup. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
