Hello. I have been a MacBook Pro user for about 4 years now. But, the school I teach at gave us all iPads so I'm learning. Do I really need an iPad since I do most of my work on my MacBook?
Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.
Have fun and enjoy your iPad
Use the iPad for a while and then you'll find out whether or not you need it. For sure, a laptop can do everything an iPad can - but most users soon find that the iPad is simply better and a lot more convenient for many things. The iPad is not intended to replace a laptop; if you try to use it thinking that then you'll probably be disappointed. I find I use my iPad for about 80% of the work that I used to do on my laptop - and the iPad is simply more convenient - instant on, instant off and wonderful battery life.
If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.
I don't know about "need" but you will fall in love with the Ipad. It is convenient, easy and light. All in one small package. Welcome and congradulations.
