Hello out there

Hi all you applesters out there. I need help in finding a remote desktop that works over the LAN instead of over Internet. I have team viewer, and it connects great when you have a good Internet signal, but when I'm home and want to check something on my pc from my iPad, it's quite slow. Can you recommend an app that's easy to use.
Coolio, hope to get an answer soon

Hi Marqi-I don't have an answer for you, but others may.

Welcome to the iPadForum! This Forum offers so much information related to the iPad (original-New), Acessories, Apps, Help, and Apple News.

The iPadForum also includes a Regional Ipad Group for international users across the world. This is a wonderful area to "find" members from your own country.

If you have not done so, please take a look at the iOS 5.0 and 5.1:

Hi Marqi - welcome to the forum! :)

You may have to better explain your query, i.e. when at home, do you want to connect to your PC at home or to a PC elsewhere? Your iPad regardless of the location of the PC has to use a Wi-Fi connection for 'remote desktop' purposes, thus is this a setup you have at home? Answer to these questions may help others to offer more specific advise.

As already suggested, I also have used Splashtop w/ success on my home Wi-Fi network - now I do not have a lot of usage experience w/ this app (don't really need it for job purposes - I'm retired), but might be worth visiting their website HERE to determine if the program may serve your purposes?

Good luck and please post back if you are successful in finding a solution - may help others!
