Hello, so I went and set a password on my restriction setting of my ipad3.

I'm afraid the only thing you can do is restore your iPad as new. Did you do a backup of your iPad before setting this code?
If you have you can restore then use this backup, if not then you will need to start from scratch. I sure hope you have a backup!
