Hi everyone I am from canada and about to become a proud new ipad owner (I have it on good authority that santa is bringing me a beautiful 32gig wifi ipad for Christmas). I am not very technical but I love new gadgets and fell in love with this one when I heard about it on the Mobileread forum. I came to this forum to learn as much as possible about the device and look forward to becoming part of this community.

Since you have a couple of weeks to wait until you get your iPad (I feel your pain!), you might want to take some time to read the iPad User Guide so you can "hit the ground running" on Christmas morning.

The Ipad User Guide is available for free in several different formats.

a) As a free PDF download from the Apple website --
http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad

This can (and should!) be saved on your computer and your iPad.

After you get your iPad, you can also get the guide --

b) As a free iBook once you download the free iBook app from the iTunes App Store.

c) Online using the link provided in the Safari favorites on your iPad.


The answers to many questions, especially if this is your first Apple mobile "iDevice", can be answered by spending some quality time with this handy document.
