I bought a Wi-Fi only iPad as soon as they became available in the UK, mainly to be able to use Skype overseas. I paid Skype £30 and nominated UK as my chosen country and in return was able to enjoy free calls to UK 01, 02 and 03 numbers from anywhere in the world with a Wi-Fi hotspot. However using the iPad as a telephone was an insult to its intelligence so I have joined this forum to find out what I am missing.
