Help downloading books

I can't seem to get books to download via iBooks or Overdrive. First says "Waiting" then if I restart iPad then says download until it stops and says it can't but no reason why. Ugh!

I assume you're trying to download the books directly to your iPad. Are you trying to download via WiFi or 3G? Are these very big books? The reason I ask is that, if the size of the book is larger than 20 MB, you cannot download using 3G and must use WiFi.
