Help!! I've lost my photos!!

So I've just got back from America for 3months, I got my iPad 2 a few days before I went I synced it with my laptop but just put my music on as I wanted to save the photo space for whilst I was away. During my time I was away I was uploading photos onto iPad, towards the end of the 3months it started to warn me that I was running out of space. So when I returned home on Friday I decided to connect my iPad and laptop so I cud sync...towards the end of it syncing it said there's not enough space for photos on iPad so I clicked ok. When I disconnected the cable and clicked on photos on the iPad it said it was rebuilding the library and when it finally finished it had the majority of my photos there but the ones I took towards the end of my summer were just White boxes saying JPG in them so I then connected the cable to my laptop again, it started to sync with iTunes again so I stopped it and disconnected again..now the White boxes have disappeared so I am still without my missing photos. Any idea of where they have gone and how I can retrieve them? Please tell me there is...

It maybe better for you to set up a filter first on your laptop and some other filter in the first one...
And then connect the ipad to itunes,and start sync to laptop,select sync the photos from the ipad,select the filter as the store section,then do just as the guide.
You could last find the sync photos in the filter you have founded,
Meanwhile the photos synced would also be copied to the itunes during the sync.

Ashleigh, have you tried looking for your photos on you iPad as if it were a mass storage device in 'My Computers'? Connect your iPad via the USB but expand it in 'My Computers' until you can see the photo file. On my iPad, the photos file is the only file you can access this way.

If your photos are on your Mac, then go into iTunes and on the left hand column find your devices (iPad). When you click on that you will see photos at the top. You can then sync all your photos or just individual albums.

Ok, thank you I will try these ideas..I'm just scared about connecting my iPad to laptop again in case more photos disappear. But I'll give it a go. Thanks again

Photos will not be synced from the iPad to iTunes. They only sync from the computer to the iPad.
