Help me I'm an iPad virgin

Hello everyone,
I got my iPad 2 last week and am addicted to it. I wanted to beagle to use it via my tv for a big screen experience when at home. Buy an appletv said the man in the apple store. So I did and that too is an amazing piece of kit, but how do I actually use all of my iPad functions on my big screen? I would like to be able to do everything my iPad can do, but on the big screen? help

If you can wait just a little bit longer IOS 5 will be out (prolly Sept.) And will allow mirroring which will do exactly what you want.
